Film student and filmmaker Martin Koddenberg explores the birth and rise of Independent Cinema. His journey in search of its forgotten roots takes him on the trail of the early film societies in Paris around Louis Delluc and Ricciotto Canudo, the London Film Society and Cinema 16 in New York.
